The XL oboe d'amore is Howarth's newly redesigned, premium professional model. As well as our unique tone hole structure design giving a more focussed sound, and unparalleled intonation and projection, we have also developed the keywork for improved comfort, particularly to the right-hand keys, giving the player greater dexterity. Our new range of XL bocals complement these instruments perfectly.
The density of the Blackwood body gives a dark and powerful sound with great projection. Lighter in weight, the Cocobolo version offers more warmth and flexibility in the sound.
All new instruments come with a minimum 24 month warranty on repairs and we will take care of all servicing and cleaning within the first 12 months upon request. All second hand instruments come with a 6 month guarantee from the date of purchase.
