The most important part of the flute, a hand-cut headjoint can improve any instrument and can offer a player many new options for sound and response. The solid 9k gold lip-plate, tube and riser with sterling silver crown brings a gorgeous depth of colour and warmth to the tone.
The powerhouse of our headjoint offerings, the Venti style combines the response of the Soloist with the richness of the Philharmonic. This style has a broad lip plate with a steep front angle, producing fantastic response and projection. The Venti Cut, developed by Mr. Paul Edmund-Davies to mirror his experience of singing in a cathedral choir, has excellent depth of sound through all three octaves, and a very resonant and free third octave.
