Tenoroons (Pitched in F) and Mini Bassoons (Pitched in G) are a great way to get started on bassoon at primary level. Check with your teacher or contact us for teacher recommendations as to what might be appropriate for your child.
Each instrument comes in a lightweight handy carry case with a fingering chart, cleaning mops and brand new reed. Each instrument is cleaned and serviced and thoroughly tested so you can get playing right away! All of our Mini Bassoons and Tenoroons are German made by Master Maker, Guntram Wolf.
Hire for a minimum of 6 months and we will take care of all maintenance and cleaning for the duration of the hire. Return at any time after 6 months, or consider upgrading to a full sized Bassoon for hire or purchase.
Tenoroon in F is pitched in the Key of F and often referred to as a Quart Bassoon. They are slightly larger than an Mini Bassoon in G, and if reading in treble clef, can play along with the French Horn parts in concert band. They are made from the finest quality Maple wood and thoroughly tested for pitch stability and durability. Tenoroons are designed to use a regular sized Bassoon Reed for ease of transition to a full sized instrument.
Mini Bassoon in G is pitched in the Key of G and often referred to as a Quint Bassoon. They are slightly smaller than a Tenoroon in F and perfect for smaller children. They are made from the finest quality Maple wood and thoroughly tested for pitch stability and durability. Mini Bassoons are designed to use a regular sized Bassoon Reed for ease of transition to a full sized instrument.
All new instruments come with a minimum 24 month warranty on repairs and we will take care of all servicing and cleaning within the first 12 months upon request. All second hand instruments come with a 6 month guarantee from the date of purchase.

All orders over $100 are shipped free within Australia. Orders less than $100 will be shipped at cost (usually $10-$30) depending on the size of the Australia Post satchel.
