Full Description

The Octave Bassoon is the smallest of the Wolf bassoon range and the simple version has 5 keys. It sounds an octave higher than the normal bassoon. The handle bar is similar to a recorder, or like the historical bassoon. It is ideally suited as a bass voice in a recorder ensemble - with an extended lower register to B. The Octave Bassoon is sutable for children of small build and very young children (as young as 4) to get a managable start on Bassoon.

Due to our many years of experience with small bassoons, Wolf is able to bring a new generation with perfect playing characteristics onto the market. Guntram Wolf bassoons are made of sycamore maple with natural rubber lining like a normal bassoon. Specifically designed to use a regular sized bassoon reed with a softer strength, they are characterized by an even response with a full sound from the lowest to the highest notes. The tuning is stable in all registers with the usual bassoon fingering.

For the sake of your health!
Due to increasing allergies, our mechanisms are generally silver-plated.
