Mercer & Barker Ltd was created as a company and launched in the Autumn of 2019 and is the brainchild of Carl Mercer and George Barker, a collaboration of two Tuba players and friends striving to design, develop and create brass instrument mouthpieces of the highest quality using the best of British precision engineering.

MB1 - With a rounded rim it ensure comfort for the player reducing fatigue on the lips. The MB1 is large enough to enable those powerful pedal notes but ensures consistency throughout the upper registers.
Cup: 32.50mm Rim:8.30mm Throat: 8.00mmMB2 - Comfortable rim that doesn’t sap the air improving stamina. This mouthpiece has long since been one of our most popular amongst BBb Tuba players. Produces rich warm tones, easily interchangeable throughout all registers.
Cup: 32.00mm Rim: 8.00mm Throat: 8.50mmMB3 - This is our most versatile tuba mouthpiece, it perfectly sits comfortable on both EEb and BBb Tubas, for those players that move across both instruments this is a marriage made in heaven. Similar in size to the Bach 24AW this has slightly more weight to enhance the sound and a very comfortable rim that aids fatigue.

All new instruments come with a minimum 24 month warranty on repairs and we will take care of all servicing and cleaning within the first 12 months upon request. All second hand instruments come with a 6 month guarantee from the date of purchase.

All orders over $100 are shipped free within Australia. Orders less than $100 will be shipped at cost (usually $10-$30) depending on the size of the Australia Post satchel.
